Bomb squad called to Salford neighbourhood

“Suspicious item” found by police a week ago

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) had to call in the bomb squad to a home in Salford Monday night.

This news comes after a “suspicious item” was discovered at the same house a week ago.

The investigation continues into the incident on the corner of Goulden Street and Alexander Street in Langworthy.

Last week Police found guns at the home.

Police placed four men under arrest and took two guns as well.

One man is facing a charge of possession of a Section 5 Firearm.

The other three are out on bail pending further inquiries.

Counter Terrorism Officers initially assisted but understood they were not leading the investigation.

No word on if that has changed or not. (JSL)
