Bury’s Mini and Junior events poised for triumphant comeback in 2024

Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the UK’s leading not-for-profit events company, is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the beloved children’s charity road running events in Bury, sponsored by Xerox Business Solutions. Taking place on the same day as the renowned Bury 10K on Sunday 15th September, these events provide an excellent opportunity for families, schools, and friends to engage in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle together.

The Mini and Junior runs are designed to be fully inclusive, welcoming children of all ages and abilities to participate. Organized in collaboration with Bury Council, the Mini 1.5Km course is open to children aged 3-8, while the Junior 2.5Km course caters to children aged 9-15. Both races will commence and conclude in the heart of the town center, outside the Rock Shopping Centre, with the Junior run starting at 11.45am, followed shortly after by the Mini run.

Participants in these races will have the chance to experience the exhilaration of being cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, all while tackling a shorter distance. At the finish line, children and juniors will be rewarded with a goody bag and a medal. The Mini and Junior series aim to promote inclusivity, build confidence, and provide an enjoyable day out for families and friends.

After the tremendous success of last year’s event, it is hoped that even more children and juniors from across the region will sign up to take part in 2024. Notably, Ella Chadwick, one of the region’s most courageous and popular girls, joined in on the action. Despite being born with a rare kidney disease and spending a significant portion of her life in hospital, Ella has managed to raise thousands of pounds for charity through her participation in various events. In 2018, she was named ‘Child of Courage’ at the prestigious Pride of Britain awards and later captivated the nation with her performance alongside the signing choir ‘Sign Along With Us’ on Britain’s Got Talent, receiving the golden buzzer.

Xerox Business Solutions, the proud sponsor of these events, is dedicated to increasing participation and has generously offered 150 free entries to local schools in Bury. Schools are encouraged to contact Run For All directly to claim these entries.

Siobhan Curtis, Marketing and Communications Director at Run For All, expressed delight at opening entries for the 2024 Bury Mini and Junior runs. These races provide an excellent platform for participants of all abilities, backgrounds, and experiences to come together. With the Bury 10K happening on the same day, adults can make it a memorable family day of fun.

Run For All is committed to ensuring that all Mini and Junior events are fully inclusive, and they encourage young people of all ages and abilities to join in the festivities. Any participants requiring additional assistance on the day are encouraged to get in touch.

The Bury Mini and Junior run, sponsored by Xerox Business Solutions, is organized by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All and forms a part of their Mini and Junior series, which includes events in York, Sheffield, Lincoln, and Leeds.
