Salford City Council Triumphs with Significant Funding for Fresh Football Pitches and Pavilion in Albert Park

Salford City Council has secured a significant grant of £600,000 from the Premier League, The FA, and the Government’s Football Foundation. This funding will be used to develop new football pitches and transform Albert Park into a state-of-the-art facility. The council worked closely with the Broughton Trust to secure the funding for this much-needed project. The £750,000 refurbishment aims to revitalize the football facilities at Albert Park, which have been in need of improvement. The project has already seen the completion of the pitch works, with a new 3G football turf pitch (FTP) and upgraded changing rooms. These improvements will greatly enhance the quality and availability of football facilities in the area. To comply with the grant conditions, the council and Albert Park have agreed to register a legal charge and title restriction to protect the Foundation’s investment. This ambitious project will provide a modern and well-equipped facility for the local community to enjoy.
