We are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this sad time.

A statement from the Mayor of Stockport, Cllr David Wilson

“It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
On behalf of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, its residents, Councillors and Officers, I would like to offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Royal Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this time.
As a mark of respect, the Union Flag at Stockport Town Hall is being flown at half-mast.”

As a mark of respect, Stockport Town Hall will be lit up purple and the flag flown at half-mast. Our condolences to all who mourn her loss.”
