Urgent A&E Warning From Greater Manchester Hospital Trust

Greater Manchester hospital trust made a call for urgent A&E warning. Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust hospitals announced that people should not come to the hospital to take Covic testing or vaccine. According to the hospital, people should only come to the hospital for serious or life-threatening conditions.

Wrightington, Wigan, and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust issued that only people who have serious conditions should come to the hospitals and people shouldn’t come to get coronavirus tests or vaccines.

Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan announced on Twitter that “ Our Emergency Department (A&E) is currently very busy. A&E is for serious and life-threatening emergencies only. NHS 111 can help 24/7 if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do. Please do not attend our A&E for Covid-19 testing or vaccine.”

There are fears across the country that Covid cases create extra strain on the hospitals. In London, a hospital already has announced that they cannot provide effective health care due to coronavirus cases and vaccination programs.

A doctor on Twitter started a campaign on the current situation of the hospitals on New Year’s Eve. According to the latest data, the hospitals in England have more Covid patients now comparing the peak period of Covid.
