According to the latest Public Health England data, the infection rate has risen in Rochdale, Tameside, Wigan, Oldham, Bolton, Stockport, and Manchester. The infection rate for Greater Manchester is now 98.5 per 100,000. The figure is still higher than the national average of 58.3.

In the week ending March 14, a total of 2792 people tested positive for COVID-19. That means the cases have increased by 253 cases comparing the previous week’s data. A total 10% increase has been reported in the infection rates of Greater Manchester.
