Newly Established Generator, Manchester’s Premier Entrepreneurial Hub, Commences Operations at the Heart of the City to Bolster Local Enterprises.
In a bid to drive economic growth and innovation in Manchester, the Generator hub has been unveiled. This unique space aims to support pre-start and start-up businesses by offering them a place to work, learn, network, and thrive. Conveniently located in the Town Hall Extension on St Peter’s Square, it provides an easily accessible environment for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and hybrid workers without costing a fortune. The hub boasts breakout areas, collaborative spaces, meeting rooms, workspaces, and private zones to cater to the diverse needs of its users. Furthermore, it will host a range of social and business events to connect members to a supportive and inspiring network. The Generator is not just a physical workspace; it’s a community that fosters collaboration and creativity. Its proximity to the Central Library allows it to tap into the library’s resources, creating a unique blend of traditional and modern workspaces. Partnering with the Business and IP Centre (BIPC) Greater Manchester, the Generator strives to be more than a co-working space; it aims to be a hub for business growth. Members will have access to expert advice, personalized business information support, and the opportunity to tap into £5 million worth of business resources through the BIPC. In addition, customers can benefit from the Build A Business in GM Libraries business support program, which offers workshops and guidance for start-ups and new businesses. Funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) in collaboration with Manchester City Council has made this project possible. The next site is set to open in Ancoats later this spring.
