Police in Bury appeal for information following assault in town centre

Police in Bury have released photos of a man they would like to speak to following a serious assault in the town centre.

Officers were called to reports a man was being attacked on Bolton Street at about 3am today (14 April 2022).

It is believed the male victim in his 20s was attacked by two people and required hospital treatment.

A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident and released under investigation

Detective Constable Alex Fagelman, of Bury CID, said: “This was a violent attack that we are sure must have been witnessed – any members of the public who have information about the incident should ring police on 0161 856 8185 or 101 and quote log 260-14/04/2022.”
