A bus stop and tree on Hyde Road in Gorton have been taped off by police officers.
Police are searching for the seriously injured person after they found a blood bath on the pavement.
The person may need to help because of his/her injures.
The bloodstains were found near a bus stop last night. ( October 15)
Police officers cordoned off the crime scene to investigate.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, there were bloodstains across the pavement outside the bus stop.
A spokesman of Greater Manchester Police said they have been unable ‘to establish where the blood came from.’
They wish to find out whether the injured person is safe.
A spokesman said: “Shortly before 11.30 pm last night (Thursday, October 15), officers on patrol came across several spots of blood on a pavement by a bus stop on Hyde Road, Gorton.
“Following enquiries, officers have been unable to establish where the blood came from.
“Police want to ensure the person injured is safe and well and are working to establish the circumstances,” added.
