Police appeal for information following aggravated burglary in Cheadle that left a man with a broken arm.

At 11.40am yesterday (29 March 2022), police were called to a report of a robbery at the Post Office on Wilmslow Road, Heald Green.

Officers attended the scene and initial enquiries have established that two unknown males, one brandishing a crow bar, had gotten out of a grey Toyota Excel before the victim, an employee for a secure cash in transit firm, was attacked by the offenders.

During the incident approximately £40,000 worth of cash was stolen from an ATM machine inside the Post Office. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

The offenders were seen fleeing the scene in the grey Toyota which was later recovered on Crantock Drive, Heald Green.

Anyone with information, or anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to contact police as a matter of urgency.
