It happened at around 11:30pm at the Etihad Campus inbound tram to Piccadilly Station after a concert
Extensive enquiries are underway, but police have released an image of a man who we would like to speak to as it’s believed he could assist with enquiries.

The most important thing for all of us in Greater Manchester is the safety of everyone in our communities.
We are treating this incident with the utmost sensitivity and severity, and I would like to reassure the public that we are working closely with our partners at TfGM to ensure additional TravelSafe officers are present on public transport to ensure everyone is safe and respectful.
Our investigation is ongoing, and it’s important that anyone with information shares it with police.
