Violent Attack On A Bus In Salford

After a violent assault by teenagers on a bus in Salford, a man suffered serious head injuries. The 33-year-old victim was attacked while he was sitting on a Diamond bus at Salford Central railway station on Monday night.

The assault happened on Monday at 7.20 pm on a Diamond Bus North West as it was parked. The 33-year-old victim was attacked by three teenagers, all aged 15 and 16.

Officers from the Transport Unit of Greater Manchester Police have arrested all three teenagers quickly at the scene. Enquires are ongoing. Police appeal for public information. 

GMP Salford Facebook account shared a post on the incident: “GMP Salford investigating a violent assault on Diamond Bus North West outside Salford Central. The victim received medical help, defendants detained at the scene.”

“We are appealing for any other witnesses or public affected by this please contact GMP log 2315/240521.

A spokesman for GMP said: “A 33-year-old man was treated at the scene for head injuries. Three males – aged 15 and 16 – were questioned at the scene and released. Enquiries are ongoing.”

A statement from Diamond Bus North West said: “We are aware of an incident that occurred on one of services outside Salford Central.”

“We are unable to comment any further on the incident, but we will be supporting the police with any of their enquiries.”

  1. Absolute scum bags. Who do these little rats think they are? Time for people to take a stance against this kind of behaviour and stick together and stand firm, decent folk have tolerated this BS for far too long!
