Get ready for the grand opening of The Egyptian Room, Oldham’s brand-new food and drink destination on Friday 1st November.

Located in the historic Old Town Hall, this stunning Grade II listed venue has been transformed into a vibrant food hall with seating for over 200 people.

The space will offer both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a new mezzanine area. This unique venue will combine a contemporary food hall set within the preserved historic character and original features of The Egyptian Room. It showcases original decorative glazed wall and column tiling, parquet and terrazzo flooring, plastered ceilings, and original arched windows and doors.

Visitors can expect a mouth-watering selection of street food stalls, including Ply Loves Pizza, Wings of Power and Tuk Tuk, all serving up a variety of burgers, gyros, and Asian delights. Plus, cocktails and live music will be available every weekend. The Egyptian Room promises to be a must-visit spot, perfect for a great night out with friends or family.

Cllr Arooj Shah, Leader of Oldham Council, said: “We can’t wait for The Egyptian Room to open with one of the most exciting new eating and leisure offers anywhere in Greater Manchester.

“The new modern food hall complements and showcases the building’s stunning Victorian architecture, making it a true one-of-a-kind venue. It’s a great attraction to bring local people and visitors into the town centre, especially in the evenings, and will not only boost our local economy but also create jobs for residents.”

“This is another piece of the jigsaw bringing our regeneration of the town centre to life.”

Joe Foster, Managing Director at Northern Lights Group, said: “This is an exciting time for us – and I believe for Oldham. We are ambitious and have gone all out to create something unique. Our passion for engaging with the community and getting people into jobs has been massively successful working alongside ‘Get Oldham Working’. We truly believe that the people of Oldham and visitors to the town will love it.”

Oldham Council and The Northern Lights Group are thrilled to bring this unique venue to life, blending the building’s rich history with modern flair.

The Egyptian Room, Oldham’s go-to food and drink hotspot, opens to the public on Friday 1st November, at 7:30 pm.
