The infection rates of coronavirus are increasing in seven boroughs of Greater Manchester. Tameside has now the highest infection rate in the region. Trafford still has the lowest infection rates in Greater Manchester.

In Greater Manchester, the total infection rate is 97.3 cases per 100,000 people. According to the latest data of Public Health England, the infection rates in Greater Manchester are still higher than the national average. The national average of England is now 57.0 cases per 100,00 people.

Here are the latest figures of coronavirus for every borough of Greater Manchester :

Tameside

 With a 7% increase, Tameside has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate of Tameside is now 121. 0 that is much higher than the national average. There is no change in the infection rate of Tameside in the last 24 hours. But comparing previous week, the figures are increasing for Tameside.

Salford

Comparing the previous week, an 11% increase in the figures in Salford has been reported. With that increase, the infection rate of Salford is now 117.1. That is the second-highest infection rate in Greater Manchester.

Rochdale

No increase or decrease has been reported for the change of infection rate of Rochdale. The infection rate of Rochdale is still higher than the national average that is 112.4 per 100,000 people.

Oldham

According to the latest data, the infection rate of COVID-19 for Oldham is now 102.9. Comparing previous week, there is a 10% increase in the figures. In the last 24 hours, an increasing trend has been reported for Oldham.

Wigan

Bolton

With an 8% increase, the infection rate of COVID-19 is 102.2 for Bolton. The figures have an upward trend in Bolton and still higher than the national average of coronavirus.

Manchester

The infection rate of Manchester is 96.0 per 100,000 people. Among all boroughs of Greater Manchester, the highest change in terms of per cent has been reported for Manchester. Comparing the previous week, there is a 16% increase in the figures for Manchester.

Stockport

Bury has one of the lowest infection rates in Greater Manchester. With a 7% increase, the infection rate of coronavirus is now 82.7.

Trafford

Trafford has the lowest infection rates in Greater Manchester. Also, it is the only borough that has a lower infection rate than the national average. There is a 30% decrease in the infection rate of Trafford comparing last week. The new infection rate for Trafford is 44.2 per 100,000 people.
