Provisional Plan

Manchester United confirmed the provisional plan for the return of fans to Old Trafford.

It’s still not known when that day will come as Greater Manchester remains on a Tier-3 lockdown.

That measure put in place by the UK government classifies the region as “Very High” risk.

When could fans return?

The earliest time fans could return to Old Trafford is on December 20 when the Reds host Leeds United.

That’s also when Man United’s women could allow fans to return.

The women’s team hosts Bristol City that same day from Leigh Sports Village.

The next government review takes place the week leading up to that game.

In order for fans to get the green light to return Greater Manchester needs to be at a Tier-2 status meaning “High” risk.

Local authorities need to approve it as well.

Tier-2 Stadium rules

A maximum of 2,000 fans will be allowed at each home game.

Seating and Prices

Tickets for United home games are £30 for adults, £15 for under 20s and anyone over 65, and £10 for children.

General admission tickets are in the sections of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand and the Stretford End.

Fans can apply either individually or in groups of two.

There will also be wheelchair seating available in the East Stand.

Who gets the first crack at tickets?

Most of the tickets are for Season Ticket Holders plus a random ballot will be held on a match-by-match basis.

The applications for the provisional ballot process is for Season Ticket holders who held their ticket in the 2019/20 season (irrespective of whether they have renewed for 2020/21 or not).

New Season Ticket Holders who purchased for this 2020/21 campaign will also be in the process.

Eligible fans will get all the information sent to them.

Some tickets will go to Executive Club Members along with allocations for Official Members along with other contractual and Premier League requirements.

Code of Conduct

Any lucky fans chosen must agree to a specific Code of Conduct at Man United matches.

Those rules include respectful behaviour, social distancing, and ensuring the safest environment for everyone.

“We are eager to welcome them back and thank them in advance for their patience and co-operation with our new operating policies that are in place to keep everyone safe,” says Chief Operating Officer, Collette Roche.
