Wigan Borough students seeking guidance for their future careers will have the chance to receive expert advice at a unique event happening this month.
Numerous universities, employers, and organisations will come together for the Believe in Your Future fair, a first-of-its-kind event in the area.
Year 12 students in the borough have been invited to attend, with a variety of opportunities being promoted by the providers.
Councillor David Molyneux MBE, Leader of Wigan Council, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event, highlighting the valuable advice it will offer to young people making decisions about their next steps.
The event, a collaboration between several colleges, schools, and organisations, will feature over 40 universities, including prestigious institutions like the University of Manchester, Edge Hill University, and the University of Chester.
In addition to the universities, larger businesses offering high-level apprenticeships will also be present, such as Arnold Clark, MBDA Systems, and the WWL NHS Trust.
Coun Molyneux emphasised the importance of providing opportunities for students to explore their options and think about their futures, especially for those considering higher education for the first time in their families.
The Believe In Your Future fair is scheduled for Monday, 11th March, promising to be an inspirational day for all attendees.
