Coronavirus infection rates are increasing in all boroughs of Greater Manchester. According to the latest data, Manchester now has the third-highest infection rate in the UK.

The infection rate is 324.8 cases per 100,000 population in Greater Manchester as a whole. The latest data showed that all boroughs in Greater Manchester are higher than the national average that is 128.4 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 9,210 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester the previous week.

Manchester

According to the latest data, Manchester has the highest infection rate in the region that is 429.2 cases per 100,000 people. The infection rate has increased by 23% compared to the previous week. There were 2373 positive coronavirus tests in the region last week.

Salford

A total of 1036 people tested positive for coronavirus last week in Salford. The infection rate in the borough is now 400.3 cases per 100,000 population. With a 19% increase in the infection rate, Salford continues to have one of the highest infection rates in the region.

Wigan

The latest infection rate in Wigan is 363.9 cases per 100,000 people. The number of cases in the borough has increased by 23% compared to the last week.

Bury

A total of 642 positive coronavirus cases recorded last week in Bury. The infection rate is now 336.1 cases per 100,000 people in the borough There is no per cent up in the week comparing previous figures.

Rochdale

The coronavirus infection rate in Rochdale continues to increase by 23%. There were 630 positive coronavirus cases in the borough last week. According to the latest data, the coronavirus infection rate in Rochdale is now 283.3 cases per 100,000 people.

Trafford

A total of 668 cases recorded in Trafford last week. With a rise of 19%, the latest infection rate in the borough is 281.4 cases per 100,000 people.

Oldham

With a rise of 35 %, the infection rate in Oldham is now 279.2 cases per 100,000 population. Oldham recorded 662 positive coronaviruses in the last seven-day period.

Tameside

 The number of coronavirus cases has increased by 31 % in Tameside.A total of 604 positive cases recorded in the borough last week. The infection rate is now 266.7 cases per 100,000 population in Tameside.

Bolton

The infection rate in Bolton continues to increase with a rise of 1%. There were positive 750 coronavirus cases in the borough the previous week. The latest infection rate in Bolton is 260.8 cases per 100,000 people.

Stockport

Stockport now has the lowest infection rate in Greater Manchester. The coronavirus infection rate in Stockport is now 221.2 cases per 100,000 people. The infection rate is up by 10% compared to the previous week.
