GMP are appealing for further information after three cars were vandalised in Leigh

Criminal damage to three vehicles occurred overnight between Sunday 4th and Monday 5th December 2022 on Glover Court and Glover Street in Leigh.

The cars were found by the owners on Monday morning, vandalised with spray paint, windscreens damaged, and the cars tyres slashed.

The owners of the vehicles then reported this criminal damage on Monday morning around 9am and officers were called to the scene to conduct further enquiries.

Inspector Andy Smith of GMP’s Wigan and Leigh District said: “This incident has rightly shocked the local community and raised concern as to why this has happened and who is responsible.

“We are investigating this disgraceful display of criminal damage and our officers are continuing to make enquiries in order to identify whoever is responsible.

“We would strongly urge members of the local community who live close by or who know anything about this incident to report it to GMP or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
