Costless celebration for children under five at Bolton Central Library

Come and join us for two exciting days filled with activities focused on stories for children under 5.

From sensory cinema and den building to messy play and puppet shows, there are plenty of free activities to keep the little ones entertained.

On Day One, Friday 15th March, from 10am to 2pm, we have The Gruffalo Sensory Cinema, Toddler Tales, and a chance to meet Bolton’s Under 5 Providers. Spot the Dog will also be making appearances throughout the day.

Day Two, Saturday 16th March, from 10am to 2pm, offers Den Making and Stories, A La Puppet Carte by Thingumajig Theatre, Messy Play with Sugar Lumps, and Storytime. Once again, you can meet Bolton’s Under 5 Providers and spot Spot the Dog.

Councillor Nadeem Ayub, Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Culture, emphasised the importance of introducing children to libraries and books from a young age. The Early Explorers Festival aims to do just that, sparking children’s imagination and love for storytelling.

This event is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. For more information about the festival and events, visit www.boltonlams.co.uk or follow Bolton Library and Museum Services on social media.
