The Marple Neighbourhood Plan, crafted by locals to shape development in the area, is nearing its final stages. The plan contains specific policies tailored to the neighbourhood.
A referendum is scheduled for Thursday 21st March to determine if the Marple Neighbourhood Plan should be used to influence planning decisions in the area. Eligible residents have received their poll cards and postal votes in the past week. The deadline to register for the referendum is midnight on Tuesday 5th March.
To access the Plan and learn more about the referendum, including voting procedures, visit the Marple Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Documents page on the Stockport Council website. Alternatively, physical copies are available for viewing at Marple Library, High Lane Library, Hazel Grove Library, or Stopford House reception during operating hours.
