Delays and Queues on M60 Following Incident near Prestwich

Motorists are experiencing delays on a section of the M60 this morning due to an incident near Prestwich. Workers from Highways are present at junction 17, which serves Prestwich and Whitefield, as there is debris on the road. According to Inrix, a collision involving a lorry has occurred at the scene, but the lorry has been moved from the main road. At present, there are significant delays in both directions approaching junction 17. Traffic is backed up to junction 13 at Worsley on the clockwise side of the carriageway. Additionally, there are delays extending to Simister Island on the anticlockwise side. Queues have formed on the M62 westbound near Middleton, as well as on the M61 southbound from Farnworth, as traffic approaches the M60.
