Bolton is serious about business.

At the recent Bolton Means Business event, entrepreneurs and organisations gathered alongside 40 exhibitors to receive expert advice on a variety of topics, from skills development to opportunities in the green economy.

Guests had the chance to network, connect with support, and celebrate the thriving Bolton business community. The event was made possible thanks to sponsors BGH Simplifi and speaker Tom Pickford, as well as key guests like Lisa Kerford from Aptus Utilities and Bolton Council Director of Place, Jon Dyson.

Cllr Akhtar Zaman, Executive Cabinet Member for Regeneration, highlighted the importance of local businesses in driving Bolton’s economy and praised the event for facilitating discussions, connections, and potential new work opportunities.

Attendees also had the chance to participate in the consultation about the Economic Growth and Resilience Plan, providing feedback on how the council and its partners can promote sustainable economic growth. The survey will be open until Sunday 17 March for those who want to share their thoughts.
