A stranger man threatened a girl in a wooden area and then made to remove her clothing

Police wish to reach anyone who knows the man in the picture.

Now, police officers have been investigating the event it is described as a ‘disturbing incident.’

The disturbing incident took place in a wooded area near Stonyhurst in Chorley between 8.55 and 9.15 am on September 17.

According to Lancashire Police officers, the man approached the 15-year-old girl and then led her behind some trees in the woods.

After that, he threatened the girl and forced her to take off her clothes before fleeing the scene.

Police opened an investigation, two-man, both in their 40s from Chorley, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap. However, they were released after a while.

Now, detectives are trying to reach more information and wish to find anyone who knows the man (known as an EvoFit) in the image.

Police say the man in the image is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, almost 5ft 10ins tall. Also, he has short hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, dark blue jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Det Sgt Paul Price, from South CID, said: “We understand that this incident has caused a great deal of concern in the community and we would like to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to identify the individual responsibly.

“While we have made two arrests, those two individuals have been eliminated from our enquiries.

“I would ask that anybody who recognises the male in the EvoFit gets to get in contact with us straight away.

“I would like to ask members of the public to check CCTV cameras and dash cam cameras in the Yarrow Valley and Coppull area in and around the Spar store on the morning of September 17 between 9am and 11.30am.”
