A motorcyclist has died following serious neck and jaw injuries in a crash.
Alex Roby, 20-year-old from Ashton-in-Makerfield, had died after suffering serious injures in the crash in Bamfurlong in Wigan.
An investigation is underway of his death now.
According to Timothy Brennand, a senior coroner, the boy could not be saved by paramedics despite all efforts.
The boy who liked riding his bike was a fitter in Wigan.
Benjamin Dobbs, Police Coroner’s Officer said about the accident: “On September 12, Alex and his friend Lewis had been riding their off-road motorbikes on Bryn Gate Lane when he was involved in a crash.
“Alex collided with a metal barrier causing him to suffer serious injuries to his collarbone, neck and jaw. Despite paramedics efforts, he was pronounced dead.”
Relatives of the deceased and friends left flowers, balloons and cards near the scene of the accident.
His one friends had left a card which read: “Rest in paradise, my brother. You are one in a million.”
