A man is still fighting for his life after an accident last night.
Police arrived upon the scene on Bury Old Road in Whitefield at around 7.55 pm.
The accident happened between a pedestrian and a black colour Volkswagen Polo, according to the police.
The pedestrian is a 55-year-old man.
After the collision, he was immediately hospitalized.
Now, his medical condition is a critic.
The driver remained at the scene of the collision to talk with police.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is underway.
Police Officer Philip Shaw, from Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A man has been left in a critical condition as a result of this collision and we’re working hard to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family as our enquiries progress, and I would urge any witnesses to get in touch as soon as possible,” continued.
He also said: “Similarly, if you have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation, please contact our team.”
