A Man Has Been Arrested Following Derbyshire Warrants

Police officers found £50k worth of suspected drugs and a substantial amount of cash. A man has been arrested in Derbyshire on January 13, 2021.

In Derbyshire, police officers executed warrants on Kingfisher Way and Howards Meadow in Simmondley and Woolley Bridge Road around 6 pm. The officers found five kilos of suspected cannabis in vacuum packed bags that cost around £50k and also found £80k in cash.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested due to suspicion of possessing drugs and with intent to supply. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who has information can contact GMP.

Detective Constable Jake Orr, of GMP’s Tameside Challenger Team, said: “Today’s warrants have led to a substantial find and are a huge step in our on-going commitment to tackling drugs and the distribution of them across Greater Manchester.
