The driver of the stolen Astra fled from the scene.

According to police officers, the driver of the stolen Astra would most probably be suffering from ‘a sore head judging by the windscreen’ after the accident in Levenshulme.

He left the cars in the middle of the road.

The other driver of the vehicle escaped without injury.

Police officers shared photos from the scene of the crash; showing two damaged vehicles.

The crash took place on Slade Lane near the junction today.

Greater Manchester Police Fallowfield, Withington, Levenshulme, and Burnage said: “Stolen vehicle Silver Astra involved in an RTC this morning on Slade Lane near Old Hall Lane.

“Driver made off, will probably have a sore head judging by the windscreen.

“Also, airbags deployed and recovered for forensics.

“The driver of the other vehicle luckily escaped injury.”
