A 57 year-old man was hit in Heaton Moor

A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a van.

The event took place just before 10 am on October 29 on Green Lane in Heaton Moor.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene. There was a crash between a van and a pedestrian.

The 57-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized.

According to Greater Manchester Police’ statements, his health condition is still critical.

An investigation has been opened after, and is ongoing.

No arrests have been made.

Police officers wish to reach witnesses who have information or footage of the event.

PC Simon Folwell, from Greater Manchester Police’s Road Policing Unit, said: “A man has been left in a serious condition following this incident and we are doing all we can to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

“Our thoughts remain with him and his family as he continues to receive treatment in hospital.

“Our investigation is very much ongoing into this incident, and we are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or were in the area at the time to come forward and assist police in our enquiries.

“Similarly if anyone has CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist us with our investigation then please come forward and speak with police.”
