£50,000 Worth Of Stolen Farm And Building Machinery In Rochdale

Police executed a warrant as a part of an investigation at a farm in Rochdale. Following the raid at the farm in Rochdale, £50,000 worth of suspected stolen farm and building machinery and two dogs have been seized.

The warrant has been executed on Friday 23 April at around 9 am at a farm in Rochdale after the report of stolen farm and building machinery and animal welfare. After searches of the property, police found around £50,000 worth of suspected stolen machinery and two dogs.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of fraud. Enquires are ongoing and police are searching financial records of the farm for the investigation.

Inspector Andy Fern, from the Rochdale Partnership Enforcement Team, said: “The raid today has been the culmination of a great team effort. Over a period of time, officers, along with our partners, have been gathering intelligence and evidence, leading to the activity today where we have been able to continue to enforce, intervene and tackle the problems of machinery theft, and animal welfare.”

“It’s been a large-scale operation today involving around 30 officers, and I would like to thank our partners at Trading Standards, Rochdale Council, and the RSPCA for their support.”
