21 Kg Class A Drugs Were Seized In Hulme

As a part of an investigation into organised criminal activity on supplying drugs across Greater Manchester, a man has been arrested. A significant quantity of suspected class A drugs-believed to be approximately 21 kg were seized at the operation.

Officers from GMP’s City of Manchester Operation Challenger and Xcalibre Task Force attended a property on 21 April for the report of supplying Class A drugs. At the operation, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He is still in custody for questioning.

Suspected class A drugs -approximately 21 kg- were seized at the property. Also, a significant quantity of cash was recovered from other property as a part of the investigation.

Detective Inspector Ian McNabb of GMP’s City of Manchester division said: “We currently have one male in custody for questioning and our investigation into organised criminal behaviour will continue at pace, which I hope serves as a warning to all those who are involved or considering their involvement in such activity. This type of behaviour is not welcome within our community and I appeal to anyone who holds information that could assist our ongoing investigations to get in touch with police.”
